I have recently become aware of a project that microsoft has been doing where they allow students to download certain software for no cost for personal and education uses. All students are required to verify that they are a student, either by choosing from the list that they have and having proof (such as a school email address), or by going through their third party site. Software available includes Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Windows Server 2008, XNA Game Studio, MySQL Server, and Virtual PC. Just thought that any else out there going to school like me might be interested in some of this.
