Tom's Hardware mentioned it.
Plug into any USB 2.0 port, install the drivers, and display your screen on a second monitor. Or split your desktop across both monitors.

Up to 1280x1024 resolution too... not bad. |

| For gaming? Doubtful... for video presentations and office work? Sure. Oh, and it only supports USB 2.0, so no 1.1 stuff. |

| $99? I would think I could get a semi-reasonable video card for that though. Still has value if you want to hook up multiple monitors on a laptop though. |

Most laptops have a vga connection so you can hook your labtop ( ) up to a projector or another viewing device. I don't believe you can extend the desktop but I may be wrong. And of course it depends on the laptop hardware also. Some new models may have it. |

I know this is old and it may be irrelavant now, however, I do know that with some (I won't say all because I don't know) laptops with the VGA port you can get it setup for an extended desktop, it's just a pain in the ass to do so. I know that there is some kind of shortcut key in windows for a laptop to cycle through video outputs and how they rely on eachother or if they are independent. (I wish I could remember the shortcut key for you now ) |
